Manchester Restaurant Erst Included in Michelin Guide UK 2021
The Phaus designed restaurant Erst has been selected and listed in the UK Michelin Guide 2021.
The “Michelin Guide Point of View” describes it as:
“A modern, industrial-style wine bar run by a group of friends, laid-back Erst offers something refreshingly different in the city. It specialises in natural, low-intervention wines – many of which you can buy to take home – accompanied by a selection of flavoursome small plates.”
What are Michelin Guide Inspectors looking for?
Michelin Guide Inspectors always visit a restaurant anonymously and pay for their meals to ensure independence of opinion and credibility. They are experts in the hospitality and catering industries and look for the quality of products, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, the personality of the chef in their cuisine, value for money, and consistency between visits.
A much coveted role, they are full time employees of the Michelin Group and collectively rate over 40,000 hotels and restaurants across three continents putting forward the best consumer recommendations.
Created and opened in 2019, the Ancoats based eatery was designed to bring contemporary and understated industrial styling to compliment its location. Utilising clean lines, subtle tones and materials which combine for warmth and quiet sophistication. The intention was always to create a relaxed urban setting.
Here at Phaus we are delighted to have set the stage which allows the team at Erst to showcase their service and enable the wines and dishes to shine. Unfortunately due to coronavirus restrictions they are unable to open the restaurant to diners at the moment. But they do offer meal kits, vouchers and have an extensive selection of wines in their bottle shop for your enjoyment. All can be purchased online with delivery to selected post codes in the Greater Manchester area.
