The long standing male centric brand Size? becomes a more female friendly proposition across its retail and social media platforms via our concept of 'Feminist Industrial Future' becoming the first stand alone women's sports fashion footwear store. We were very excited to see Size? for Women a finalist at the 2016 Drapers Footwear Awards shortlisted for 3 awards.
The sneaker retailer had a desire to capitalise on current trends, to capture a new and widening audience while strengthening their bond with loyal female consumers, making them feel more comfortable and appreciated within the brand. It was an exercise in balance, just enough softening of the brand DNA while retaining its urban, streetwise, attitude ‘For Ladies that Lace’.
The retail flagship was delivered in Manchester’s 19th century Grade I listed Royal Exchange. The development of the Market Street site was a risk for the brand as it meant the closure of their iconic original store opened in the year 2000 but also appropriate as Size? enters into a new era.
